Walter A. Lehmann

Walter A. Lehmann, 93, of Harvard, IL passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at his home.

Walter was born March 23, 1929, to Leopold and Frieda (Zepf) Lehmann in Chicago, IL. Walter served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He married Silke Orthwein on November 27, 1958, in Chicago, IL. Walter was a proud Master Electrician, having served his apprenticeship in Germany. His last employment was 20+ years at M & M Mars candy factory. He belonged to IBEW, Chicago. Walter was a longstanding member of the St. Hubertus German-American Hunting Club, Chicago. 

Walter is survived by his wife Silke Lehmann; daughter Heidi (Tim) Daley; grandchildren Taylor Daley, Brendon Daley, Luke Daley, and Maximillian Lehmann; and siblings Lotte Hermann, Luise Huber and Elfriede Wabro.

Walter was preceded in death by his son Mark and his parents.

The visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11:30 AM funeral service on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Saunders Funeral Home & Crematory, 1745 South Eastwood Drive, Woodstock, IL 60098.  Interment will follow at McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock.
