Stephen J Rom

Stephen J. Rom passed away at home on September 19, 2022 at the age of 64. He was born to Carl and Dorothy (Hahn) Rom on November 24, 1957 in Chicago, IL. He married Lillian Rivera in Maywood, IL on May 7, 2004.

Stephen worked in construction throughout his life, but also considered himself an artist. He liked to paint, sculpt, and play guitar. He was a car aficionado and proud owner of a Mustang.

Stephen was preceded in death by parents Carl and Dorothy Rom, and brother Jim Rom.

Stephen is survived by his wife Lillian, siblings Rev. Gregory Rom, Patricia (Glenn) Paustian, Matthias Rom, Marialice (Deacon Steve) Wagner, Jeanmarie Rom, Margaret (Joseph) Kukec, step-sons Will, Jon, and Ivan.

The visitation will be held from 4 – 8 PM on Wed. September 21 at Saunders Funeral Home & Crematory, 1745 S. Eastwood Dr. Woodstock, IL. Services will be 11 AM Thurs. September 22 at St. Pascal Catholic Church, 3935 N Melvina Ave, Chicago, IL 60634.  Inurnment will take place at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to the family, in order to assist with funeral costs.
