Rosemarie F. Leech, 96, of Woodstock, IL passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 6, surrounded by her beloved family. Rosemarie was born on August 28, 1926, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Fredrick and Mae (Gillmeister) Bartley. Rosemarie married John D. Leech and the pair was blessed with two daughters. Rosemarie loved old country music, square dancing, and line dancing. She was the life of the party and could oftentimes be found listening to music and dancing. Rosemarie took in many strays over the years and fed the neighborhood animals, including everything from squirrels to cats to birds. Rosemarie was kind, caring, and compassionate. She enjoyed going camping and skiing with her family and celebrating special occasions. More than anything, Rosemarie loved just being with her family and creating special memories.
Rosemarie is survived by her two daughters Catherine M. Leece and Rosemarie E. Steelman; grandchildren Katie, Tim, Jonathan, and Mathew; great-grandchildren Haylee, Evelyn, and Vinny; as well as numerous friends who were like family.
Rosemarie was preceded in death by her husband John and her four siblings.
Inurnment will take place at Crystal Lake Memorial Park Cemetery.
