Robert J. Stecher

Robert J. Stecher Jr., 65, of Woodstock, passed away on Sun., Jan. 9 at Northwestern Hospital in Huntley.

Robert was born April 12, 1956, to Robert Sr. and (June Stecher) in St. Albans, NY. On (July 7, 1984) he married Joanne Harrer in (McHenry, Illinois).

Robert was a truck driver and was a member of Teamsters 301.  In the past, he was a race car driver and raced many times at Lake Geneva Raceway.  He was an avid NASCAR fan, had a passion for flying airplanes, enjoyed boating, and his dog Brody.

Survivors include his wife Joanne, children Michael (wife Ariane) Stecher, James Stecher (fiancé Bri), Jonathan Stecher (fiancé Carrie), and Sara Stecher (domestic partner Scottie), Father Robert Sr.,4 grandchildren Raelyn, Lillian, Ashton, and Ayla, 5 siblings Sheila, Jim, Monica (husband Randy), Donna (husband Jerry), and Lisa (domestic partner Mark).

He was preceded in death by his mother.

A Catholic memorial mass will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 11 am -12 pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave. Crystal Lake, IL  60014
