Michael W. Thull

Michael William Thull, 81, of Woodstock, IL and formerly Chicago, passed away on March 15, 2025.

Michael was born on September 25, 1943 in Chicago, IL the son of Raymond and Madeline (Hahn) Thull. He grew up in Chicago where he met the love of his life, Judith Ann, and the pair was wed on March 20, 1976.

Michael worked as a truck driver for Pepsi Cola for over 40 years before retiring. He was a dedicated and hardworking man. Michael was a good provider and a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Chicago Bears. When he was younger, he liked to go golfing and fishing. Michael was a quick-witted and funny man- attributes he passed on to his children who will continue to honor his memory.

Michael is survived by his wife Judy; children Leonard LaPuma Jr. of Ft. Atkinson, WI, Kim Marie (Pablo) Gonzalez of Chicago, IL, Donald Joseph LaPuma of Knox, IN, Chrisa Lynn Thull of Paducah, KY, Jennifer Colleen (Terrie Casson-Thull) Thull of Woodstock, IL, Tiffany Marie Podgorny of Bloomington, IL, and Michael Thomas Podgorny of Las Vegas, NV; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and siblings Robert Thull of Utah and Cathy Thull of Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Madeline, and his brothers Raymond E. Thull, Joseph Thull, and Richard Thull.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
