Linda M. Lewis, 75, of Woodstock, Illinois, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026. Daughter of the late Hans and Irene Johnson, Linda was born on December 25, 1950, in Harvard, IL. On December 13, 1969, she was united in marriage to Kendall Lewis, whom she had met at Autolite factory where they both worked at the time. The couple raised two sons in Woodstock and enjoyed many family trips, canoeing in Missouri and traveling to visit relatives. Linda was an avid reader who loved immersing herself in good books. She had a passion for all her cats and dogs and was especially fond of hummingbirds.
Linda is survived by her sons, Brian and Alva (Connie) Lewis; granddaughters, Ashley and Kailah Lewis; sister, Elaine Johnson; brothers-in-law, Myron and Jerry Lewis; sister-in-law Karen Williams, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In death, she is reunited with her husband; parents; siblings, Harold, Gordy, Carol, and Nancy; and in-laws, Jasper, Belle, and Alva.
Linda will be laid to rest in McHenry County Memorial Park on Friday, May 29, 2026. Friends are invited to a memorial gathering from 10:30-11:30AM at the memorial park, 11301 Lake Ave, Woodstock, IL 60098. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Helping Paws (helpingpaws.net). Saunders Funeral Home and Crematory of Woodstock is honored to serve the Lewis family.
