Leonard A. Guge

Leonard A. Guge, age 66, of Huntley, Illinois, passed on Friday, December 2, 2022, at his home.

He was born on October 7, 1956, in Elgin, Illinois to Walter and Dorothy (Weston) Guge. He graduated from Larkin High School in Elgin and attended Elgin Community College for his welding certificate. He made a career as a welder fabricator at Maass Midwest. Leonard was a member of the American Motorcyclist Association. He was also a member of the Airhead Beemer Club and he had many adventures while earning his 100,000 miles award on his BMW’s, making many great friends, attending rallies from Alaska to New England. He enjoyed all motorsports, traveling from Minnesota to to Texas and many points in between to watch races and gather with friends around the campfire. He will be missed by everyone he ever met.

Leonard is survived by his wife Sally Guge, and her children, Nancy Palmere, Denise Martina, six beloved grand-children, sister Betty (Ray) McManaway, brother Albert Guge, sister Marilyn Bassler, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Dorothy Guge, brother, Joseph Guge, and sister-in-law Cynthia Guge.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
