Obituary

June Mildred Kozel sadly passed away peacefully on April 15, 2022 at Hearthstone Manor in Woodstock.  She was born in Chicago, Il January 24, 1930 to George and Elizabeth Lawrence.

June loved knitting, sewing and needlepoint, those were her passions.  She also enjoyed ceramic figurine painting when she could; bringing color to life is an amazing gift and one that June had. Bohumil and she enjoyed camping in their travel trailer, camping in many states.  She enjoyed meeting up with her sister Clara and her husband as well.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years Bohumil Joseph Kozel Jr. they were married August 19, 1950 in Cicero, IL.  Also, by her children Michael (Anita) Kozel of Woodstock, IL, Jeannette Marshall of Buckley, AZ. her 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and sister Clara Pepin of Dunnellon, Fl.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Elizabeth Lawrence, sister Betty Kierstien, and grandson Brian Kozel.
