Jeffrey Charles Morse, 72, of Woodstock, IL passed away on January 1, 2025.
Jeff was born on April 6, 1952, in Great Lakes, IL the son of Charles and Inez (Jerabek) Morse.
Growing up in the city, Jeff developed a fondness for people. Jeff also developed a love for the Chicago Bears. In his youth, he enjoyed playing a variety of sports including gymnastics, hockey, and ice skating.
Jeff strayed further away from the city over time, putting down some roots in Woodstock, IL in 2004 where he remained. Jeff worked for Wichita Packing Co. since 1982, where he was valued for being reliable, helpful, and knowledgeable. He was outgoing, sociable, and easy to befriend. Jeff made many connections and lasting friendships throughout his life. He had a sense of warmth about him and made everyone feel welcome. Jeff had a kind and loving heart. He was generous and enjoyed having a good time. He loved hosting parties and threw some epic “block parties” over the years. Jeff could not only dish it out, but he could take it. He was good-humored and witty. Jeff was a collector and had many hobbies. Jeff was hardworking and dedicated and held those he cared about to a high standard. He took pride in his work and his family. Jeff was especially close with his two sisters and treasured their conversations.
Jeff is survived by his son Michael (Adrianna) Morse of Medford, New Jersey; grandson Isaac; his sisters Mary (John) Spaggiari of La Grange, Georgia and Patricia (Gregory) Wiatr of Richmond, Kentucky; as well as countless friends, notable coworkers, and special neighbors.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Lee Ohlson, and his mother Inez Ruesch.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
