Gerald J. Stoneburner, 66, of Woodstock, IL, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Son of the late William E. and Norma J. (Schlies) Stoneburner, Jerry was born on October 2, 1959, in his beloved hometown of Crivitz, WI.
A lifelong outdoorsman, Jerry loved life in Wisconsin. He was an avid marksman, trapshooter, hunter, and fisherman who found comfort in the quiet beauty of nature. He was also an aquarium hobbyist, meticulously maintaining massive saltwater, freshwater, and brackish water tanks. A shared love of aquariums brought Jerry together with Jennifer Farrell, whom he married on July 10, 2013, at a huge, festive, backyard wedding surrounded by great friends, family, and food.
Jerry was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan, who bled green and gold, cheering on his team and proudly upholding the Packers-Bears rivalry at home with his wife, Jennifer. Jerry was also a true Harley man—leather, grit, and endless miles—but beneath the tough and stubborn exterior was a heart of gold. Loyal, generous, and always ready to help, he lived loud, loved deeply, and left the world kinder than he found it.
Jerry is survived by his devoted wife, Jennifer Farrell; daughter, Samantha Maria-Louisa Stoneburner; brother, Richard Stoneburner (Cathy Lavey); sister, Diane Lesage Stoneburner; nephew, Brandon Lesage; nieces, Amy Stoneburner and Shannon Brown; many great nieces and nephews; beloved feline friend, Juno; and many friends near and far.
In death, he is reunited with his parents and his son, William Stoneburner.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at a later date.
Saunders Funeral Home and Crematory of Woodstock is honored to serve the Stoneburner family.
