Dakota Lee Garza, 24, of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, passed away on June 22, 2023.
Dakota was born on August 21, 1998, in Woodstock, Illinois, the son of Kevin Joseph Garza and Lea Ann Metzig. He married Jasmine Adele Chisamore on August 21, 2021. Dakota proudly served in the US Army and remained active in the Army Reserve. Dakota was fascinated by history, especially Greek mythology, and loved playing video games. He could be hardheaded, but he had the biggest heart and would truly light up a room. Dakota was incredibly funny, always cracking jokes, and had an infectious laugh. Dakota was a loving husband, a devoted and caring father, a cherished son, a treasured brother, a precious grandson, and a dear nephew. He will be sorely missed by so many who love him.
Dakota is survived by his beloved wife Jasmine and sons Leonidas Alexander and Odysseus Lee; parents Kevin and Lea; brother Logan Garza; sister Raven Garza; grandparents Peggy and Jose Garza; grandmother Jill Garza; grandmother Christine Miller; special aunt and uncle Connie and Carl Anderson; mother-in-law Brandi Yates; sister-in-law Emma Yates; brother-in-law Cody Yates; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Josephina Garza and father-in-law Christopher Chisamore.
